Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Engineer for Solid Missile Systems in Colorado. You will own supplier performance, lead supplier development and quality, and drive improvements across hardware quality, cost, delivery, and capacity in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to challenge the status quo and deliver impact. Travel up to 50% and strong AS9102/FAI experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, quality, or supplier-facing roles in high-product-complexity environments (Space, Aerospace, Defense, or Medical).
• Strong time management and attention to technical documentation and multiple supplier interfaces.
• Familiarity with reading engineering models and drawings; GD&T understanding.
• Knowledge of quality documentation, discrepancy reporting, and deviation/waiver processes.
• Deep understanding of AS9102 and FAI processes; ability to review/prepare AS9102 forms with suppliers.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar QMS.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware quality, cost, delivery, and capacity improvements across the supply base.
• Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineering to ensure supplier conformance.
• Evaluate and develop suppliers; onboard and audit new suppliers; own assigned supplier relationships.
• Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions across Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and suppliers.
• Provide onsite technical support to suppliers to ensure reliability and manufacturability of parts and processes.
• Manage deviations, MRB, RTV, and Supplier Corrective Actions; coordinate stock purging and cross-functional containment.
• Partner with vendors to reduce supply chain risk; implement processes that improve quality management and supplier performance.
• Support product development and launch with DFM reviews and New Product Introduction at suppliers.
• Build cross-functional relationships to reduce vendor defect impacts and standardize processes.
