Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Engineer for Liquids Systems to own supplier performance for Hadley and Draper engines. You will lead supplier development, dive into data to uncover issues, and drive improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and capacity.

Working with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, you will challenge the status quo, qualify new products at suppliers, and de-risk our supply chain in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, STEM discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or supplier-facing roles in high product complexity environments.
• Strong time management and attention to detail, particularly with technical documentation and multiple supplier interfaces.
• Experience reading engineering models and drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, or other quality management systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the work week.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware quality, cost, delivery, and capacity improvements across the supply base.
• Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineering to understand part, assembly, metrology, and subsystem design intent.
• Evaluate and develop suppliers by reviewing manufacturing processes and quality systems; lead onboarding and audits.
• Own supplier quality performance; lead root cause analysis and issue resolution across Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and suppliers.
• Provide onsite technical support at suppliers to ensure part reliability and manufacturability.
• Execute and improve non-conformance management processes (MRB, deviation/VARs).
• Partner with vendors and Procurement to reduce issues and supply chain risk.
• Support product development and launch via DFM reviews and owning NPI at suppliers.
• Build strong internal/external relationships and contribute to supply chain standards.
