Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Development Energetics Manufacturing Engineer to bridge design and production for solid rocket motors. You will own the manufacturing processes, design and validate equipment, and drive process improvements on the production floor.

The role emphasizes hands-on work as a primary SME with capabilities in capital equipment, automation, and process design, supporting safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives in a critical SRM environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience leading capital equipment projects and installations.
• Hands-on SME with production floor experience.
• Willingness to work hands-on in a safety-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Own designated manufacturing processes from concept to deployment.
• Design, develop, and validate new processes and equipment to meet specs and safety standards.
• Lead sourcing and procurement of complex capital equipment and tooling.
• Serve as SME and provide on-floor support during motor builds.
