Position Summary

As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen and elevate the performance of our external supply base. This role serves as the technical and quality authority for supplier qualification, performancegovernanceand compliance oversight. The Supplier Quality Engineeris responsible forensuring externally provided materials, components, and special processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and contractual requirements. This individual will drive accountability, lead corrective action, and proactively mitigate risk across the supply chain-protecting integrity, improving first pass yield, On-Time Delivery, and ensuring our suppliers perform with the same rigor as our P1 operating standards.

Responsibilities
  • Verify supplier adherence to customer flow down requirements and industry knowledge to ISO9001, AS9100 and governmental standards
  • Support the Commercial Team with detailed quality risk input during proposal review, new program sourcing, and supplierselection
  • Validate supplier production process using PPAP/FAImethodologyand assess supplier controls forvalidatingspecial processes that meet customer quality requirements and delivery expectations and document accordingly
  • Develop andmaintainmethods, workflows, and capabilities for supplier qualifications and approval processes and ensure subcontracted work is technically and operationally capable
  • Maintain transactions and activities for supplier-driven Lessons Learned to ensure systemic fixes are implemented and verified
  • Drive continuous improvement using applied lean principles and Lessons Learned to reduce cost, improve delivery performance, andeliminaterecurring defects across supplier network
  • Review andvalidateMaterial Test Reports, Certificates of Conformance, Certificates of Acceptance, and special process certifications. Ensure part marking and traceability aligns topurchaseorder and drawing requirements.
  • Perform first article and incoming inspection and verification of components to requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or similar Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-8years experiencein supplier and/or manufacturing quality or production engineering
  • Proven attention to detail and focusinan active environment with the ability to proactively complete tasks while working independently
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Demonstrated success implementing or improving supplier approval processes
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proven history applying lean manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and successful corrective and preventative action implementation
  • Demonstrated experience to support process validation
  • Proven history working within a Quality Management System such as AS9100 and ISO 9001
