Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives across the Sourced Products portfolio within HVAC Finished Goods. You will coach suppliers, drive APQP, FMEA and PPAP, and ensure reliable performance from inception through post-sales.

This role requires 8–12 years in quality engineering, a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, and professional certifications. Travel up to 50% is expected, with collaboration across account managers and field service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management or related discipline.
• Professional certification (CPM, Six Sigma, CQM, CQE, CSQE, PE, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and category management to engage Sourced Products Partners for sustaining and new product initiatives.
• Coach and mentor suppliers on problem-solving to address field quality concerns.
• Train partners in standard work to improve FPY and productivity.
• Perform monthly warranty claim and field quality alert analyses to identify top Pareto issues.
• Provide QA support to account managers, field service reps and customers.
• Lead supplier process reviews and audits to ensure process rigor and performance.
• Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning initiatives in new product development via Sourced Product channels.
• Facilitate supplier recovery efforts and teardown analyses for warranty matters.
