Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a senior quality engineering leader to oversee designated Sourced Products partners. You will advance quality initiatives from product inception through post-sales support, mentor suppliers, and govern FPY and warranty metrics.

The role requires extensive experience in APQP, FMEA and PPAP, and travel up to 50% as needed. You will drive standard work and collaborate across multiple levels of the Trane organization to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management or related discipline.
• 8–12 years of quality/quality engineering experience in design, engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership with APQP, FMEA, PPAP knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with product and category management to build collaborations with Sourced Products Partners for sustaining and new product initiatives.
• Coach and mentor teams on effective problem-solving to address field quality concerns.
• Train partners in standard work to improve FPY and productivity.
• Perform monthly warranty claim and field quality alert analyses to identify top Pareto issues.
• Serve as the main quality contact for account managers, field service reps and end customers.
• Lead supplier process reviews and audits to ensure capability and accountability.
• Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning in lifecycle development through Sourced Product channels.
• Support supplier recovery efforts and teardown analyses for warranty improvements.
