Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Quality Engineer focused on manufacturing quality across the supply chain. You will drive supplier qualifications, PFMEA, Control Plan, and PPAP activities to ensure product quality from supplier to customer.

You will analyze quality data, lead gemba activities for SMT, and champion lean practices to reduce defects, warranty costs, and DPPM while supporting in‑house manufacturing to maximize reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years of quality/quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Experience with lean, QMS, and customer engagement practices preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
• ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Electronics manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute component qualifications for new suppliers (deviation, X‑Ray, etc.).
• Influence bottom line by delivering quality data.
• Oversee Mfg Quality Gemba & MDI for SMT.
• Lead PFMEA, Control Plan, and PPAP processes.
• Support in-house manufacturing to maximize product quality.
• Drive reduction of customer complaints and warranty costs.
• Benchmark processes and implement best practices.
• Participate in New Product Development and DFMEA.
