Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a manufacturing engineer to coordinate time-phased material plans for large metallic structures. You will interface with engineering, production, supply chain, and subcontractors to ensure timely availability of parts, assemblies, and services aligned with program milestones.

The role requires experience with aerospace/defense manufacturing processes such as welding, casting, forging, and machining, plus PLM/ERP/MRP tooling knowledge. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience across engineering, supply chain/procurement, and manufacturing to resolve material issues and align to program schedules.
• Strong background in large metallic structural assemblies, machined parts, facilities integration, or hydraulics.
• Manufacturing processes in aerospace/defense: welding, casting, forging, machining, or additive manufacturing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data from PLM/ERP or MRP systems for material status analysis.
• Experience managing time phased material requirements and resolving shortages or delays.
• U.S. Citizenship required; DoD Secret/Top-Secret clearance or ability to obtain SAP approval.

Responsibilities

• Interface among Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and Business Management to align material plans with schedules.
• Own time-phased material planning based on engineering releases and BOMs to ensure parts and services meet milestones.
• Drive SSOW, PR, and PO execution; coordinate material impacts from drawings and ECNs; work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
