Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer to join our Aeronautics Systems team in New Town, North Dakota. You will work on defining production sequences, supporting design-for-manufacturing discussions, and helping reduce costs across electrical, hydraulic, fuels and propulsion systems.

The role requires a STEM degree, ability to interface with leadership and vendors, and comfort with shift schedules and on-site manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related STEM field by Oct 2026.
Master’s degree by Oct 2026 or Bachelor’s with 1 year of experience for T02.
Ability to interface with leadership, clients, and vendors.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift; willingness to work varied hours.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to Engineering on manufacturability to meet design intent.
Participate in tool design reviews to reduce build times and costs.
Define operation sequences for builds and drive corrective actions.
Liaise with Engineering to influence production costs across systems.
