Shield AI is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer focused on machined parts to enhance supplier performance across quality, delivery, and cost. You will audit supplier processes, lead root-cause analyses, and guide suppliers in meeting engineering and production priorities.

With 7+ years in related roles, you will assess capabilities, monitor metrics, and assist in introducing new designs while supporting scalable, affordable autonomy. Dallas-area applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in supply chain or manufacturing engineering roles.
• Experience with supplier development and quality improvements.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient with Excel and data analysis.
• Experience with CAD tools and engineering systems.

Responsabilités

• Audit and embed into core supplier processes to identify cost, lead-time, and quality improvements.
• Conduct on-site audits to root cause supplier quality issues or performance challenges.
• Assess and improve supplier capabilities in line with engineering and operations.
• Provide technical guidance on part specs, manufacturing processes, and quality measures.
• Track supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions and improvements.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Support NPI by ensuring suppliers meet quality and delivery requirements during development.
