Job summary

Sherwood Staffing Partners is seeking a Senior Superintendent in Boston, MA to lead landmark projects with autonomy in the field and participate in company ownership through ESOP. Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations on $100M+ projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and site cleanliness.
• Involve in preconstruction to shape constructability, scope, and master schedule.
• Partner with Project Executive and Project Manager to meet financial goals.
• Coordinate trade partners across union and non-union environments.
• Build strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, and facilities teams.
• Mentor assistant superintendents and field engineers to grow leaders.

Senior Superintendent | Boston, MA | $200K to $300K Base + Annual Bonus + Car Allowance + ESOP

Our client is a 100% employee-owned national construction manager with more than $2 billion in annual revenue and a Boston headquarters that has been building across New England for decades.

They have more than doubled in size over the last few years, are on a stated path to $5 billion, and consistently earn national Best Place to Work recognition. Their Boston group builds some of the most visible work in the region: new academic buildings for major universities, hotels and hospitality, life sciences, large occupied renovations, and base building and fit out work for developers. They have also launched a mission critical group focused on data centers.

They are hiring a Senior Superintendent to lead $100M+ projects from preconstruction through closeout. This is a role for a builder who wants to run their own job, have real autonomy in the field, and share in the upside of an employee-owned company.

What You'll Build

• New ground up academic and research buildings for universities
• Hotels and high end hospitality projects

• Large scale renovations in occupied and unoccupied buildings
• Base building and tenant fit out work for developers
• Opportunities on data center and mission critical projects as that group grows

What You'll Do

• Lead all field operations on $100M+ projects, including safety, quality, schedule, logistics, and site cleanliness
• Get involved early in preconstruction to shape constructability, scope, buyout, phasing, and the master schedule
• Partner with the Project Executive and Project Manager to hit financial and schedule goals
• Manage and coordinate trade partners across union and non union environments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, and university facilities teams
• Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field engineers who will become the next generation of field leaders
• Drive a culture of safety on every jobsite, every day

What You Bring

• 10+ years of superintendent experience, with a track record of leading your own projects start to finish
• Experience running projects of $100M or more with a reputable GC or CM
• Background in any of the following: higher education, hospitality, life sciences, large renovations, or core and shell / fit out work
• Union and non union experience in the Boston market
• Strong scheduling skills and the ability to plan work months ahead
• A leader who people want to work for and who enjoys developing talent
• OSHA 30 preferred

• $200,000 to $300,000 base salary, depending on experience
