Job summary

Our client, a well-established General Contractor in the Greater Boston area, seeks an experienced Senior Site Superintendent / Project Manager to join the team for multifamily construction, complex renovations, and historic restoration projects.

This senior-level, field-based leadership role oversees multiple projects from startup through closeout, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to keep schedules and budgets on track.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience with significant field leadership.
• Proven ability to deliver residential projects from start to finish.
• Strong scheduling, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations across multiple active construction projects.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and site logistics.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor project quality, safety, and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and closeout activities.
• Collaborate with ownership, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the construction process.
• Conduct regular site meetings and maintain clear communication with all project team members.
• Identify and proactively resolve construction challenges to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established General Contractor specializing in high-quality residential construction throughout the Greater Boston area. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Site Superintendent / Project Manager to join their team.

This is a senior-level, field-based leadership position responsible for managing multiple projects from startup through closeout. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience overseeing multifamily construction, complex renovations, and historic restoration projects within the Boston market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations across multiple active construction projects.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and site logistics.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor project quality, safety, and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and closeout activities.
• Collaborate with ownership, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the construction process.
• Conduct regular site meetings and maintain clear communication with all project team members.

Preferred Experience

• Ground-up multifamily construction experience.
• Experience managing small to mid-sized urban multifamily developments.
• Historic brownstone renovations and full-gut residential rehabilitation projects.
• Strong knowledge of Boston-area construction practices, permitting, and project execution.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience, including significant field leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record successfully delivering residential construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong scheduling, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent leadership and subcontractor management abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and highly organized.
