Job summary

MPI is recruiting for a construction management role in the Greater Boston area. You will partner with the Lead Superintendent to drive daily activities and maintain project schedules across multifamily projects.

You will help enforce site safety programs, coordinate documents, and verify subcontractor work against plans while contributing to quality control and reporting. This position offers growth toward a Superintendent role within a stable, respected firm.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction field experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with safety focus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Lead Superintendent to execute daily construction activities and maintain schedules.
  • Support implementation and enforcement of site safety programs to aim for zero incidents.
  • Coordinate and distribute drawings, specs, RFIs, bulletins, and field reports.
  • Verify subcontractor layouts and field work for compliance with plans and quality standards.
  • Assist with quality inspections, document deficiencies and track corrections.
  • Monitor field progress to ensure work aligns with contract documents.
  • Document daily site activities with reports, photos, and field software.
  • Help develop daily/weekly work plans, schedules, and site logistics.
  • Participate in client and project team meetings and resolve issues.
  • Manage permits, inspections, testing, and regulatory documentation.

Job Description
  • Partner with the Lead Superintendent to execute daily construction activities and maintain project schedules.
  • Support implementation and enforcement of comprehensive site safety programs with the goal of zero incidents.
  • Coordinate and distribute construction documents including drawings, specifications, RFIs, bulletin updates, and field reports.
  • Verify subcontractor layouts and field work to ensure compliance with project plans and quality standards.
  • Assist with quality control inspections, documenting deficiencies and tracking corrections through completion.
  • Monitor field progress and ensure all work aligns with contract documents and project requirements.
  • Document daily site activities through reports, photographs, and field management software.
  • Help develop and communicate daily and weekly work plans, schedules, and site logistics.
  • Participate in client, contractor, and project team meetings, providing construction updates and resolving issues.
  • Manage project documentation related to permits, inspections, testing, and regulatory compliance.

The Successful Applicant
  • 2+ years of construction experience in a field-based role.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working on multifamily, residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety practices and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and field reporting tools is a plus.
  • Motivated professional looking to develop into a Superintendent role.
