Job summary

SAM's SUE Field Technician role supports designation, documentation, and mapping of utilities in rural and urban environments. You will lead field operations, coordinate with clients and crews, and ensure high-quality project outcomes across QL-A and QL-B scopes.

The position requires hands-on surveying expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to travel as needed. Valid driver’s license and experience with geophysical equipment are valued assets.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of SUE field experience preferred.
• Experience as a lead on SUE QL-A & QL-B field crews preferred.
• Previous role as a project-level field supervisor on SUE QL-A & QL-B projects preferred.
• Surveying experience preferred.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utility designation and documentation.
• Project management and leadership across 2D/3D QL-B mapping.
• Operate geophysical and survey equipment for utility mapping.
• Reporting and documenting structures data and plans.
• Maintain safety certifications and follow safety standards.
