Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel for extended periods.
• Thorough understanding of ASCE 38 guidelines and quality levels.
• 4–5 years of SUE field experience preferred.
• Experience leading SUE QL-A & QL-B field crews.
• Experience as a project-level field supervisor on SUE projects preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• Survey experience preferred.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designating utilities in rural and urban environments using geophysical equipment and survey fieldwork.
• Obtains and maintains all required safety certifications.
• Manage 2D QL-B and 3D QL-B mapping projects with small crews.
• Selects and applies non-standard surface-geophysical equipment for mapping.
• Collects data and completes vault diagram forms for 3DB mapping.
• Acts as lead on crews employing vacuum excavation and related equipment.
• Uses total station and RTK GPR to collect horizontal/vertical data for mapping.
• Collects data for Structures Data Reports for gravity-flow utility systems.
• Coordinates with clients, utility owners, and property owners in the field.
• Coordinates with traffic control providers and third-party services.
• Interprets planimetric/design plans, profiles, and cross-sections.
