Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a SUE field technician to designate utilities, collect data, and lead small field crews on QL-A/QL-B mapping projects across rural and urban environments.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, knowledge of ASCE 38 guidelines, 1–2 years of SUE field experience, and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel andprioritize safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of SUE field experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of planimetric and design plans is helpful.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• Experience as a lead on field crews is a plus.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designate utilities in rural and urban environments using geophysical equipment and survey methods.
• Lead 2-person SUE field crews on QL-A & QL-B mapping projects.
• Collect data for vault diagrams and mapping forms.
• Operate VRS GPR equipment for data collection.
• Coordinate with internal survey crews and travel as needed.
• Ensure safety certifications are up to date.
