Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) seeks a field supervisor with SUE experience to lead QL-A and QL-B crews on licensed mapping projects across rural and urban sites. Travel to field locations is required, and candidates should demonstrate strong data collection and safety credentials.

You will coordinate with clients and utility owners, apply geophysical techniques, and supervise vault diagram and 3D mapping activities.

Qualifications

• SUE field experience and understanding of QL-A/QL-B workflows.
• Experience leading field crews on SUE projects.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods.
• Proficiency in survey-related tasks and records.
• Familiarity with ASCE 38 quality levels and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Designate utilities using geophysical equipment and field documentation.
• Lead SUE crews on QL-A/QL-B projects in field settings.
• Coordinate with utility owners, clients, and third parties in the field.
• Apply appropriate surface-geophysical equipment for mapping.
• Collect data and complete vault diagram forms for 3DB mapping.
• Use total station and RTK GPR for horizontal/vertical data collection.
• Support safety certifications and field crew leadership.
