Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Senior Manager, Subway Schedules to direct and supervise major scheduling activities for the subway network. You will coordinate with maintenance, dispatching, and capital construction to deliver reliable service and optimize timetables across IRT, IND and BMT lines.

The role requires extensive experience in timetable production, crew planning, and data analysis, with strong leadership to train staff and ensure compliance with contracts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Sciences or related field; or an equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Minimum 7 years directing, managing, and supervising major scheduling activities for subway services.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience overseeing a team of transit analysts and schedulers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, testing, and rollout of master computerized train schedules and work programs.
• Supervise a team of transit analysts and schedulers to meet corporate transit goals.
• Analyze ridership metrics and on-time performance data to fine-tune headways and run times.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, agency standards, and labor agreements.
• Coordinate base and supplemental timetables and work programs for all subway lines.
