Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York seeks an Assistant Manager Subway Schedules to assist in managing, coordinating, and producing efficient subway timetables and crew work programs for NYCT subway lines and employees.

Responsibilities include preparing supplemental timetables for diversions and events and analyzing ridership data to improve operations. A Baccalaureate degree and 2 years of related experience (1 in supervisory) are required.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in management, engineering, mathematics, planning, or transportation planning.
• At least 2 years of related experience, including 1 year in a supervisory/administrative capacity.
• Alternatively, a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• This position is accountable for assisting in the management, coordination, development and production of efficient and reliable train timetables and crew work programs for NYCT subway lines and subway employees. Prepares supplemental timetables and work programs for temporary Subway route diversions and special events. Analyzes and evaluates ridership data on subway operations.
