Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) NYC Transit seeks a Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee large-scale subway facility construction projects, including design reviews and lifecycle management. The role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and structural systems, and the ability to coordinate with in-house and contracted teams to deliver projects on time and within code requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
• Eight (8) years of related experience and two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple multi-million-dollar capital construction projects involving rehabilitation of NYCT facilities across owned and leased properties.
• Lead projects not managed by MTA C&D and perform engineering reviews of active MTA C&D construction projects.
• Direct all phases of the project lifecycle: planning, scheduling, design, construction, and reporting, ensuring code/compliance with NYS Building Code and NYCT standards.
