Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC is hiring an experienced electrical tester for field and shop work in the Washington, DC area. The role includes inspections, testing, startup of low and medium voltage equipment, and protection relay testing.

Significant travel is required with international preference. You will coordinate projects, maintain comprehensive documentation, and perform testing on breakers, transformers, switchgear, relays, and other equipment while upholding safety and NETA/IEEE

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house, reviewing and maintaining job documentation from receipt of order to invoice.
• Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, instrument and power transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, and other electrical apparatus.
• Contain material costs by eliminating wasteful practices and implementing appropriate control measures.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
• Promote an attitude of continuous improvement and teamwork.
