Georgia Transmission Corporation seeks a highly experienced Substation Test Engineer to lead testing and commissioning of protective relay and control systems across 12kV–500kV facilities. You will develop group testing policies, train engineers, and ensure compliance with PSMP and CIP standards.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), with 8–10+ years in substation testing and PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent.
• E-V: Eight (8) years of substation test experience (6 years with PE).
• E-VI: Ten (10) years of substation test experience (8 years with PE).
• Equivalent Experience options listed include degrees or non-degree paths.

Responsabilités

• Test and commission protective relay and control systems in substations.
• Apply maintenance guidelines to life cycle of protection systems.
• Perform corrective actions to mitigate impacts on the transmission system.
• Develop group testing policies, procedures, and safe work practices for tests (12kV-500kV).
• Adhere to PSMP, CIP, and corporate policies to enhance reliability and customer service.
• Field engineer installation and testing of protective relay and control equipment; provide technical troubleshooting support.
• Develop testing standards for transmission and distribution relaying and bank metering; contribute to PSMP and standards.
• Lead group technical training and support Test Engineers on relays, schemes, and meters.
