Georgia Transmission Corporation seeks a senior Relay & Control Design engineer to develop and apply advanced electrical designs for transmission and substation facilities. The role requires independent problem solving, leadership in project work, and collaboration with corporate teams and external utilities.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience in protection, relays, and control design, including generator interconnection facilities.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Six years minimum in a power-related field with at least three years in protection, relay and control design or substation testing.
• Eight years minimum in a power system environment with at least four years in protection, relay and control design or substation testing and two years in leadership.
• Ten years total in electric utility power system engineering and design with six years in protection and three years in supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of symmetrical components, electrical control theory, distribution and transmission protective relays, CAD/D, and RTU equipment.
• Ability to design and interpret one-line and three-line diagrams and convey technical information clearly.

• Design and evaluate relay and control systems for transmission and substation facilities.
• Develop guidelines and apply engineering standards for efficient, sound engineering work.
• Lead and supervise junior engineers on assigned projects and coordinate with other departments.
• Represent Relay & Control Design in internal corporate teams and external utility interfaces.
