Job summary

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering or engineering technology or equivalent experience.
• PE license or 2-year electrical maintenance degree or equivalent experience.
• P&C field services and power utility transmission experience.
• Knowledge of 3‑phase power systems and protection schemes.

Responsibilities

• Commission, test, and troubleshoot protective relaying, controls, and communications in substations and transmission lines.
• Complete construction and routine tasks with no service interruptions and manage clearances to meet scope and schedule.
• Coordinate substation outages and commissioning with multiple stakeholders and handle trouble calls.
• Promote safe work practices and conduct job briefings to mitigate risks.
• Share technical expertise in 3‑phase power, relaying, and SCADA with the team.
• Isolate hazards and damaged equipment during emergencies to restore service safely.
