Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Substation Technician- A for diverse projects across locations, including travel to Florida and other states. This non-exempt role involves lead/coaching responsibilities, safety emphasis, and the handling of 525 kV and below equipment.

The position requires climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces, with 90% travel and potential long hours during emergencies. CDL is mandatory and independent work as well as team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of continuous experience with 525 kV and below substation equipment.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Willing to travel 90% and work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair, testing and troubleshooting of substation equipment/systems.
• Work in confined spaces and at heights; operate or supervise heavy equipment.
• Lead/coach crew members and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Interpret substation drawings and communicate with customers and subordinates.
