Job summary

Qualifications

• Must pass rigorous physical labor requirements and safety standards.
• Must be able to climb and work at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must supply own hand tools and safety boots.
• Requires 90% travel and ability to work in confined spaces.
• Experience with heavy substation equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment and systems.
• Install transformers, switchgear, buswork and capacitor banks.
• Read and interpret substation drawings and plans.
• Coach junior crew members and ensure safety compliance.
• Operate heavy equipment such as bucket/derrick trucks, backhoes and forklifts.
• Maintain company vehicles and test equipment.
