Job summary
GFT is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer - Substation to join our Power Group. The role encompasses leading or supporting substation projects from design to delivery, spanning 34.5kV up to 500kV, with opportunities to work with clients and teams across multiple offices and remote options.
The successful candidate will have a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, a PE license or progress toward licensure, and 8+ years in power/utility design and project management, with Proficiency in AutoCAD,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer License or on the path to licensure.
- Advanced degree preferred for seniority.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support utility and power substation projects.
- Develop substation structural steel and foundation drawings.
- Prepare substation structural calculations and specifications.
- Collaborate to pursue regional and national substation projects.
