Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior-Level Structural Engineer for its Power Delivery Substation Structural Group in Baton Rouge, LA or St. Louis, MO. You will lead teams in electrical substation design, including foundations and control buildings, and develop specifications and proposals supporting project objectives.

You will apply advanced structural techniques, coordinate across disciplines, review drawings, and ensure code compliance. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• BSCE from ABET-accredited college.
• 10+ years in structural design for electrical substations.
• PE exam completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers, designers and drafters in electrical substation structural design.
• Develop structural construction specifications and cost estimates.
• Prepare calculation packages to meet client and code requirements.
• Coordinate with disciplines and review shop drawings.
• Travel may be required occasionally.
