Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group, an employee-owned EPCm firm, seeks a Senior Substation Engineer – Protection & Controls to lead high-voltage substation design and mentoring across teams. You will drive protection, control and wiring deliverables and ensure constructible package quality.

You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and project managers, perform formal checks, and guide junior engineers while advancing design standards and schedules.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in substation, power delivery, protection and controls, or electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection, control, and wiring design for substation projects; create CAD drawings and documentation.
• Develop and oversee relay and control schematics, wiring documentation, cable/conduit schedules, nameplates.
