Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Technician – Substation P&C Designer to support the design and delivery of critical electrical infrastructure. You will develop protection and control schematics, diagrams, and panel layouts for high‑voltage substations, with emphasis on accuracy and constructibility.

Qualifications

Associate degree in drafting or engineering design tech is required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering design tech is preferred.
Minimum 11 years related work experience.
Experience with substation protection and control systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor.
Uses CAD/BIM/3D tools to create, modify, and maintain design drawings and deliverables.
Coordinates with engineers and project teams to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
Provides guidance to other technicians and reviews deliverables for accuracy.
