Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer specializing in substation design. You will contribute to HV substation projects, develop protection and control diagrams, and prepare yard layouts and BOMs.

This role involves collaboration with clients and vendors, with possible travel and hybrid work options after onboarding. Required is a Bachelor's in Engineering with at least 1 year of related experience, plus a strong understanding of applicable engineering standards.

Qualifications

• High voltage substation design experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and MS Office tools.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or recognized equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation designs with emphasis on physical design and protection & controls.
• Develop delivery deliverables incl. diagrams, schematics, and wiring.
• Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams; travel may be required.
• Adhere to budgets, schedules, and QA/QC requirements.
