Job summary

M. J. Electric is seeking a Senior Project Manager for substation work in the United States. You will provide oversight, coordination and technical expertise across overhead substation construction, maintenance, modification and replacement projects.

The role requires strong project management, leadership and safety focus, with exposure to utilities, clients and regulatory considerations. Growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Extensive (10+) years of Substation construction experience.
• Extensive project management skills with a track record of complex projects.
• Knowledge, interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiations skills.
• Strong PC skills and software proficiency.
• Strong managerial/leadership skills.
• Ability to oversee numerous projects across a large geographic area.
• Customer service oriented with supervisory experience.
• Ability to oversee large complex projects or a portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with PMs and customers to align crews, budgets and schedules.
• Drive safety leadership and integrate safety into project plans.
• Coordinate bidding of overhead transmission and distribution projects.
• Assist in scope development and project authorization to completion.
• Keep senior management informed on progress and trends.
• Monitor progress against goals, timelines and objectives.
