Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Maryland to oversee overhead transmission and distribution construction, maintenance, modification and replacement projects.

The role demands coordinating multiple crews, managing budgets and schedules, and delivering high-quality results across a large geographic region. The candidate should bring extensive construction management experience, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and a background in electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Distribution focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers and customers to ensure crews are aligned with contracts, budgets, forecasts and schedules.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and promote safe work practices and incident prevention across projects.
• Coordinate bidding of overhead transmission and distribution projects.
• Assist with project scope development and project authorization through completion.
• Keep senior management informed on progress, opportunities and industry trends.
• Evaluate project progress against goals and take corrective actions as needed.
• Consult with utilities, clients, and owners on design requirements and bid specs.
• Ensure design requirements and quality stay within tolerances on ongoing projects.
• Develop and standardize processes for cost reporting, billing, scheduling, procurement and documentation.
