Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to supervise and coordinate transmission and substation foundation construction projects from pre-planning through construction administration. The role focuses on delivering on schedule and within budget while enforcing safety standards.

You will lead a project team, interface with owners, union members, and subcontractors, develop estimates, manage resources, and report progress to senior management.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 4-7 years of Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related experience in the utility construction industry.
• Experience with union jurisdiction and labor agreements.
• Foundation construction (substation, and transmission line) expertise is preferred.
• Knowledge of utility construction practices.
• Extensive computer skills including Access, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day oversight, management and administration of the company's safety management system.
• Oversee construction activity to ensure projects are built per design, budget and schedule.
• Interface with owner/client, and on-site crews to ensure safety, quality, and milestones.
• Forecast and report on project profitability while managing project budget.
• Coordinate all aspects of job setup to incorporate safety, scheduling, document control, cost codes, and billing.
