Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead overhead transmission and distribution line construction projects.

You will oversee safety, budgets, schedules and coordination with crews and customers across a broad geographic area. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of related experience, strong leadership, and a track record in complex, multi-site programs. Bachelor’s degrees in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering with a Power Distribution

Qualifications

• Extensive overhead transmission and distribution line construction experience.
• Extensive project management skills with a track record of complex projects.
• Knowledge and administration of collective bargaining agreements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Strong PC skills and software proficiency.
• Strong leadership and managerial abilities.
• Ability to oversee numerous projects across a large geographic area.
• Customer service skills.
• Supervisory experience.
• Ability to manage large projects or a portfolio for a major customer.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers and customers to align crews, contractors, budgets, forecasts and schedules.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and promote the MJE Safety Management System.
• Coordinate bidding of overhead transmission and distribution projects.
• Assist with project scope development and authorization through completion.
• Keep senior management informed on progress, opportunities and trends.
• Regularly appraise project progress and correct deficiencies.
• Consult with utilities/clients on design requirements and bid specs.
• Ensure design requirements and quality stay within tolerances.
• Oversee project costs, billing, scheduling, procurement, and documentation.
• Interface with key customers to ensure clear communication.
