Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Physical Designer in Raleigh, NC for a hybrid work setup combining office and remote work. You will prepare various substation drawings, including General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views, BOM, Grounding, and Conduit details, while incorporating vendor information and performing client walkdowns.

The role requires at least 10 years of substation design experience and proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation, with an emphasis on 3D

Qualifications

• 10+ years of substation physical design experience.
• Associate\u2019s Degree in Drafting or 2+ years drafting coursework or equivalent.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Substation General Arrangement drawings and equipment plans.
• Create Substation Section Views (Elevations) and BoM details.
• Develop Grounding, Lightning Shielding, and Conduit plans.
• Incorporate vendor information and perform client walkdowns.
