Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a substation designer to join our Raleigh, NC-based team in a hybrid role. You'll collaborate with engineers and designers on high and extra high voltage substation designs, producing General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views, BOMs, and grounding and conduit layouts.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s Degree in Drafting or higher, 6+ years of substation design experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Drafting or higher with 3+ years drafting experience.
• Minimum 6 years of substation physical design experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation; familiarity with Bentley Substation Design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and designers on HV substations design deliverables.
• Interpret vendor information into design deliverables.
• Conduct client site walkdowns at substations.
