CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Protection & Control Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to provide technical and organizational leadership within our Power and Energy practice in the United States. This role combines advanced expertise with team development and project delivery.

The successful candidate will lead high-voltage protection and control projects, mentor staff, manage budgets and utilization, and drive client satisfaction while supporting business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15 years of related experience; travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of high-voltage substation protection projects.
• Serve as technical authority for protective relaying, control, SCADA.
• Develop and review schematics, relay settings, and wiring diagrams.
• Mentor engineers and manage project performance.
• Support business development and client relations.
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
