Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with substantial substations background. This role leads project definitions, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder alignment across multiple teams.

You will manage costs, profitability, and client billings while coordinating with internal disciplines and external agencies. Travel up to 10% is typical; Bachelor’s degree and 13+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

Thirteen (13)+ years of relevant work experience.
PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and budgets, securing concurrence from stakeholders.
Manages project costs and profitability.
Reviews and approves invoices to ensure timely payment; monitors subcontractor invoices.
Monitors project status, risks, and performs change management.
Issues and tracks Engineering Change Notices when appropriate for the project.
Prepares monthly reports and project closeout documentation.
Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
