Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with substantial substations experience to lead complex projects. Responsibilities include defining scope, schedules, budgets, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure profitability and timely client billings.

The candidate will mentor junior PMs, manage changes, and prepare monthly reports and bid packages. Travel is 10% or less with opportunity for growth within the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree is required.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)

Responsibilities

• Defines project scopes, schedules, and budgets with stakeholders.
• Prepares statements of work and work breakdown structures (budgets).
• Manages project costs and profitability; oversees client billing and subcontractor invoices.
• Prepares monthly reports and bid packages; distributes addendums.
• Coordinates with construction manager and engineering disciplines for change management.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers to ensure deliverables on time.
