Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead projects in a fully remote role with occasional site visits. The successful candidate will develop scopes, perform design calculations, and ensure compliance with IEEE, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards.

A PE license and a strong background in substations are required. The position offers compensation aligned with experience and may require travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution will count toward years of experience
• A PE License is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scopes, one-line diagrams, and estimates for substation projects.
• Review substation construction drawings for compliance with codes and standards
• Engineer and design lightning protection, grounding, and equipment replacement and repair for substations
• Lead, facilitate, and coordinate substation project work with others to complete projects
• Travel to project sites for information gathering and site walks
