About the role
Sr. Substation Project Engineer for a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). This role involves leading and managing renewable generation substation projects from conception through construction and commissioning.
Location: Remote position with some travel. Travel between worksites and other locations is an essential job function. Must hold a valid driver\u2019s license.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
- Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Identify challenges, measures, and validate results, and implement solutions.
- Provide information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues.
- Competitively source, select and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services, and support the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.
Qualifications
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural engineering
- 6+ years of experience in substation design and engineering of high-voltage substation projects
- Project engineering or project management experience
- PMP or P.E. in related discipline is helpful
- Some travel required within North America

Base hourly wage: $55.00-$60.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
