Job summary

Toth and Associates, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Project Engineer V to lead the technical execution of electrical substation projects from kickoff through delivery.

You will serve as the primary engineering owner, mentor staff, interface with clients, and ensure constructible, code-compliant designs while managing risk and delivering high-quality project outcomes. Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 7–10 years in electrical substation engineering or related power systems design.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead major portions of substation projects from kickoff to delivery.
• Serve as technical lead and primary engineering contact for coordination with PMs, clients and internal teams.
• Own the technical scope, including development of substation physical and protection & control deliverables.
• Prepare, review, and approve drawings, calculations, studies, and BOMs.
• Apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI standards for compliant designs.
• Perform engineering analyses including grounding, fault current and voltage drop studies.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews prior to issuance and act as Engineer of Record when licensed.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Engineer I–IV staff.
