Job summary

Toth and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer III/IV to independently plan, design, and execute electrical substation projects for utility, industrial, and renewable energy clients in the Oregon region.

You will apply advanced engineering judgment to develop sound, constructible designs and provide technical leadership. Responsibilities include developing protection and control schematics, grounding analyses, and calculations, reviewing drawings, and mentoring junior engineers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5–9 years of electrical substation engineering or related power systems experience.
• Ability to independently execute substation design tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical judgment skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and independently design substation components (yard layouts, grounding, protection and control).
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, and bills of materials for planning and construction.
• Review protection and control schematics and interconnection details.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to resolve technical challenges.
• Mentor Engineer I/II staff and review work products for quality.
• Travel as needed for site visits and client meetings.
