Job summary

Toth and Associates, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer V to lead the technical execution of electrical substation projects from kickoff through delivery.

This role acts as the primary engineering owner, guiding scope, deliverables, and decisions while mentoring engineers and interfacing with clients. Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in substation engineering, PE license preferred, and strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, and CDEGS.

Qualifications

• Lead major portions of substation projects or independently execute small-to-medium projects.
• Mentor Engineer I–IV staff and provide design reviews and feedback.
• Ensure designs are code-compliant and constructible per NEC/NESC/NEMA/IEEE/ANSI.

Responsibilities

• Lead major portions of substation projects from kickoff through delivery.
• Serve as the technical lead and primary engineering contact for coordination with PMs, clients, and internal teams.
• Own the technical scope including development and oversight of substation physical and protection & control design deliverables.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, calculations, studies, and bills of material; ensure QA/QC.
