Toth and Associates Inc is seeking a Project Engineer V to lead electrical substation projects from kickoff through delivery. You will serve as day-to-day technical lead, mentor junior staff, interface with clients, and ensure high-quality, code-compliant designs using NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI standards.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET) and 7–10 years in substation engineering, with PE preferred. Expect travel for site work and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 7–10 years of experience in electrical substation engineering or related power systems design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead major portions of substation projects or independently execute small-to-medium projects from kickoff through delivery.
• Serve as technical lead and primary engineering point of contact for coordination with PMs, clients, and internal teams.
• Own the technical scope of work including development and oversight of substation physical and protection & control design deliverables.
• Prepare, review, and approve drawings, calculations, studies, and bills of material.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations and design packages; act as Engineer of Record when licensed.
• Mentor Engineer I–IV staff and provide design reviews and feedback.
• Communicate project status, issues, and risks clearly to stakeholders and clients.
• Travel as required for site visits and client meetings.
