Job summary

Dashiell Corporation seeks a Supervising Substation Engineer to lead engineering teams in Dallas, TX. You will oversee design, planning, and execution of multiple substation projects, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.

The role requires deep knowledge of substation engineering and coordination with construction and procurement teams. You will report to the VP of Engineering and drive standardized engineering practices, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with ability to obtain license within one year if needed.
• Minimum of 15 years in the electrical power industry with substation design experience.
• Experience leading design teams of engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Extensive knowledge of 138 kV+ substation components and systems.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
• Proficient in MS Office and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profitability, quality, and schedule performance of engineering teams.
• Supervise multiple project teams to ensure on-time completion of projects.
• Assign projects to engineering teams based on requirements and personnel availability.
• Coordinate engineering with construction and procurement to meet milestones.
• Ensure use of project-specific standards and efficient design progress.
• Communicate with customers, teams, and management on project status.
• Prepare and track schedules and budgets within the project team.
