Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to join a project team delivering high voltage substation design and project management. The role emphasizes conceptualization, planning, execution, and client communications, with opportunities to travel to client sites as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, 3+ years in MV power systems design, and strong skills in coordinating multiple projects, reviewing drawings, and using MS Office and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 3+ years experience in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budgets and schedules.
• Experience tracking project information such as schedules and expenditures against budgets; preparing status reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, planning, and execution.
• Support challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information to meet client requirements and S&L formats.
• Develop career via peer-learning through Communities of Practice.
