Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer in the United States. The role focuses on HV substation design, project management, and client communications within a hybrid work model, requiring 7+ years of relevant experience and a PE license where applicable.

A relocation package may be offered depending on location. The candidate will contribute to the design and execution of complex projects, collaborate with designers, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree required.
• 7+ years in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under budget/time constraints.
• Experience tracking schedules and expenditures and client interfaces.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, planning, and execution of HV substation projects.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare clear technical and client reports in S&L formats.
• Share knowledge via Communities of Practice to grow the team.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
