Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to join our project teams in Peachtree Corners, GA, with a hybrid schedule blending three days in the office and two remote days. You will lead conceptualization, planning, and execution for high voltage substations and related design and project management tasks.

Key requirements include a BS in engineering, 7+ years in medium voltage power systems, ability to manage budgets and schedules, strong communication, and experience reviewing

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 7+ years in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects within budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking project information: schedules, expenditures, status reports, client interface.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that present technical and project information clearly and meeting client requirements and S&L formats.
• Develop career via peer-learning through Communities of Practice.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
